Rain
A street seen through a window the rain is running down. Drops form on the glass, swell, and fall, each one a small lens over the picture. Wipe the glass with a finger and the fog creeps back.
Wipe the glass
The drops are simulated: condensation gathers as small beads, a bead that grows heavy enough breaks and runs, wobbling as it goes, swallowing the beads in its path and leaving a clear trail that slowly fogs over again. The picture is read through all of it, sharp and magnified inside each drop, soft and dim through the fogged glass between them. See the street as the photograph or set in drills; the rain does not mind which.
